The eight churches who make up the E.A.M.A. have combined their resources to do great things within the community. Whether you are a life long resident, or simply passing through, we are here to assist in any way that we possibly can, as we share the riches of God's grace and love.
On the fourth Tuesday of each month the community gathers for a free meal, provided by one of our congregations or other local service organizations. Dinner is served form 5 - 7 p.m. and is traditionally located at the Edon Fire Hall. Young or old, rich or poor, join us for fellowship, support, and a hearty meal.
Our Food Pantry is open to assist those in need every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to Noon as well as 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is no need to make an appointment or reserve a time. Through God's blessings we are able to provide several bags full of groceries, as well as hygiene and personal care products, on a monthly basis.
Each Thursday at 10:30 a.m. one our pastors leads the community in a weekly Bible Study at the Edon Community Building. Seniors are invited to stay for a meal provided by Williams County following the Bible Study.
One of the greatest joys of the Edon Area Ministerial Association is our willingness to set aside our demoninational differences to lift up our common faith in the crucified and risen Lord, Jesus Christ, at our five annual community worship services.
This service of thanks and prayer is held mid to late January, where we give thanks for the unity we share as brothers and sisters in Christ.
As spring arrives, we set aside time to pray for our fields and all the blessings that Spring brings upon us.
On the first Thursday in May we celebrate the National Day of Prayer with a special service at the Edon Northwest School.
The Edon Daze celebration would not be complete without worship. Join us the first weekend of August at our 11:00 a.m. service at the park.
On the Sunday before Thanksgiving we worship with a joyful heart as we say "Thank You God for all You have richly blessed us with."
Financial assistance is available in a limited amount to help individuals make ends meet during difficult times. Because of the generosity of others we are able to help with:
- Utility Bills
- Auto Repairs
- Fuel
- Prescription Drugs
- Temporary Housing
If you find yourself in need, we encourage you to call before you find yourself in financial trouble. We are also happy to assist you in creating a budget in order to help you better manage the gifts God has given you.
If you ever find yourself in an emergency, the EAMA pastors are part of a response team provided through our local Police Department. Together we will lift you up in prayer through whatever the circumstances might be.
